I used to love the Talons with all my heart, until Evolv decided to do something to the rubber, I did not feel good with them at all, and the performance was not great either, a really good friend of mine still loves them, but not me, the new design kinda sucks too, the piece of lime green rubber in the arch of the shoe is worthless, and makes it really uncomfortable, most people dont like the heels on evolv shoes, this heel I actually like a lot, the design on the rubber gives you really good friction, and the heel stays on a lot, great edging performance until the rubber wears out witch is too soon, great pocket performance, amazing on overhang, perfect shoe for training purposes, they are good indoors and outdoors, I recommend them for whatever you're into either bouldering and sport climbing, now they will not work on trad. happy climbing!!!

Thought these were kind of a cheaper version of the 5.10 dragons. I didn't think the rubber was as good, but the comfort was similar and the heel cup worked well for me. For myself, I'd just stick to the dragons unless you like the synthetic fit, which is unlikely to stretch as much.
There are much better shoes for the money...
These shoes are mostly fine and they perform adequately, but there are significantly better shoes for the money. I find the heel to be horrendous, the fit is at best only adequate, and the toe is uncomfortable. I don't find it to be a stable shoe, and would pass on these in favor of some of the higher performance offerings, especially at that pricepoint.
Evolv used to be an excellent alternative shoe, offering very good performance at a pricepoint that couldn't be beat and great durability. As the years have gone by, their prices have gone up but the shoes haven't really improved and the durability has been steadily declining. It's unfortunate.
Perhaps their other products perform well and continue the tradition of value-performance, but these (in my opinion) do not.
Talon shoes
These kicks are great for mega steep climbing and bouldering. I found bouldering in them can be uncomfortable and enhance the chance of rolling your're ankle. But on a rope these shoes are close to cheating, they focus tons of pulling strength on steep routes, a huge plus was that is lower fatigue in your're chalfs due to the super down turned design. Well worth the cost and they can take a beating.
Send away, cheers.

ooh dammmm these are sick
first time i put these on i was trip-in !! i was like, I'm going send that sh*t Girl
An even better talon
I had the original talons and the only thing i didn't like about them was how painful they were, and that the toe wore out really quickly. Well, it seems like the problems have been fixed, although i've only had them for a week or two, so i can't really comment on the durability
Must Have This Shoe!
These are the same shoe as the Predator, with this shoe you can lace them and tighten them where needed to make them a little more agressive than the Predators. This shoe is perfect for hard bouldering and sport routes. Like many other Evolv shoes they are designed to not be sized down too much. I usually go up a half size in this shoe from the Predators. Most people go up one full size from what they wear in the Predators. Thankfully Evolv does tons of shoe demos, highly recommend demoing a pair and climbing in them before you buy them to make sure you have the correct size. This is a must have shoe!!
