Five Ten Copperhead Hot

Five Ten Copperhead
User rating

3.1 (2)

Five Ten has led the traditional climbing shoe market for the past quarter-decade for good reason. We climb cracks, big walls, multi-pitch routes, off-widths, and everything in between. Our new Copperhead is a state-of-the-art design with a low profile toe that slips into tiny fissures. A Stealth patch adds durability and friction in all tight conditions. Our patented new lace closure system allows you to open the shoe up for moderate climbs, and crank down the laces for those dicey moves. Plus, laces are off-set and covered to protect them from angry rock! There’s no better crack shoe available—the Copperhead will be your best friend in Moab, the Valley, North Conway, New Paltz, Vedauwoo, and Devil’s Tower.

I got these the same size as my moccasyms and they work great. I wear a size 10 street shoe and got this at the same size so my feet are totally flat. They have way better rubber than the moc's and edge much better. I've done a few multipitch routes already with these and I'm totally happy and comfortable. On the thin crack, these things kill it.

was excited then let down...

oh the long awaited copperhead. I had dreams of this shoe. good design, but so, so on performance. used it in the desert and was let down. edges okay and climbs cracks well. don't want to use this shoe for offwidth. your ankles will take months to heal. if five ten would just add friction rubber to the top of the mocs they would be better off.
