Five Ten's VMile was designed to be the ultimate all-around mileage shoe. It's extremely comfortable and convenient to get on and off, has an EVA wedge for cushioning and support on approach slabs and long descents, and has a proprietary micro-perfed leather uppers to let feet breath. The Stealth Onyxx rubber soles provide the ultimate in friction, edging and long wear. This shoe is a great choice for long moderate routes and for climbers looking for true comfort in a multi-purpose shoe.

These shoes live up to their name as they are very comfortable on long days, whilst performing quite well. I've used them for long trad days, but I've also used them on as my comfortable shoes on everything else (steep sport, bouldering, gym) and found they can perform really well - e.g. while not exceptional, still adequate when bouldering near my limit.

Their durbabilty along with comfort and performance makes them worth the price in my opinion.

I do a lot of big mileage days when I need a boot that's comfortable but will still perfrom. The V-Mile is my choice, by far. I've actually put a lot more time into the Ascent, which was the "official shoe of birthday challenge" for a decade. The V-Mile is essentially the same boot with a few upgrades.

These are not designed to climb at your maximum but Five Ten's toe profile allows you to come quite close in boots with that you've been wearing with socks and had on your feet for most of 12 hours or more. Not a bad compromise.

When you've got ground to cover and can't be bothered to remove your boots after every pitch, the V-Mile is the ticket.
