A high performance shoe for amazing edging control and pocket climbing performance

La Sportiva's Miura VS provides a convenient high-end edging and smearing shoe for bouldering and technical climbing. The Miura VS combines key elements from the Miura with a three strap hook and loop closure system. Stretch is controlled through a synthetic lining on the one-piece leather upper and is unlined under the foot to allow for excellent sensitivity on micro edges and smears. The Miura VS is built with the P3® platform for a continued down turn shape which makes it excellent for steep overhangs.

This shoe has great performance and the friction of the rubber is amazing! Can stick on a dime if needed!! The heel has a great cup to it and is awesome for heel hooking! I think I will stick with these shoes for quite a while! The only downside is the price but so far it has been worth it!

I have been out to Joshua Tree twice on these and bought them just for face and bouldering in the park and got them small to use as my more aggressive shoes, but ended up using them even on the tough cracks in the park. It took me about a weekend to break them in and after I did I was more than happy to use them on any and all climbs that I was doing. A great shoe for any climb you need to do, just watch out cause they are not what you want for doing that.

This is one of the best shoes I have climbed in since it is good for just about every type of climbing. They are very comfortable and are very awesome on heel and toe hooking. The only downside is the cost but is well worth the price if youre looking for a high performing shoe.

The La Sportiva Miura VS is a spectacular shoe for the more technical climbs in your life! I tried them at a shoe demo and just had to have a pair of my own! Miura VS gives superior precision in edging, smearing,heal-hooking, and finding those micro-toe chips. The opposing velcro closures give a tight, secure feel through the whole shoe that lasts the entire climb. Be careful to keep the velcro clean though! I don't recommend these shoes for long, less technical climbs as they are not designed for stand-around comfort. Be prepared to take them off after each send as they give a tight fit. Also, be sure of the size you need as these shoes do not stretch much (but do allow for just a little stretch). I love these shoes and recommend them to any committed climber... the price isn't entry level, but they are worth every penny!

In my experience, these run about 1/4 size larger than the W's miura lace-ups. I would love to evaluate them properly but long story short, I can't return them for the next size down & thus have not had a chance to really give these a full workout on a that many routes.

These are pretty aggressive and are really nice for overhangs. However, my experience with them is that their edges aren't the best and, maybe its just me, they tend to slip off fairly easily.

As for bouldering, I can't complain, but I was used to a very aggressive shoe, and these didn't live up to as aggressive as I wanted. They still have been my favourite bouldering shoe so far though.

I love these for sport climbing especially on overhangs. They aren't so toed in that it hurts after a short while, but they are aggressive enough to give you the power needed.

My only complaint about these is that they were pretty expensive. But they've held up wonderfully so far.

Also, they are made from real leather and don't smell bad which is a plus.

the miura vs are awesome! Probably my favorite climbing shoe. can stand on any tiny edge, smears amazing especially for a down turned shoe, awesome on roofs, and the heel is the best heel ever made. i highly recommend the shoes to anyone looking for and aggressive shoe.

The King of Shoes: La Sportiva finds what they were searching for; a blend between the sport climbing shoe and the bouldering shoe.

Every climber needs a partner. I have two; these shoes. I trust these fuckers more than I trust my belayer half of the time. La Sportiva wasn't fooling around here; the Miuras will save your fatass when you should've popped, they'll manage a heel when there's nothing to heel on, and they'll make you wonder why there hasn't been such perfection in a shoe until now.

I have sent more projects in these shoes then ever before. I'm on my second pair, and still going strong. They're durable, they climb in the gym, they climb outside, they do it all. Aggressive enough for roofs and steep bouldering, but not so aggressive that you can't climb trad or techy vert walls. Fits like a glove, and the strap system is key. Screw laces. When I've been sitting in the car for hours upon hours, I'm ready to sprint through the approach, throw my shoes on and send my project first go; I don't want to spend time dealing with stupid laces.

La Sportiva, thank you for finally getting a strap system right. Unlike the shitty, flashy ineffective strap system the solution has, or taking forever with the laces of the regular Miura, the Miura VS gets straight the point. Thick fat straps, giant areas to place the velcro, and THREE of them at that to make sure the shoe sticks to your foot like fucking spiderman so you don't have to worry about your foot popping off when you're on the heel hook hand/foot match of your V-what-have-you proj.

Story time: I literally bested out my buddy on a V9 boulder problem outside (Ross Bongo, 5 Star boulder, Gold Bar) heeling around the corner on a move. I asked him if he could tick mark what I was throwing my heel on, and it turned out to be a flat wall. No hold, no hook, just a heel SMEAR. A new move pioneered by these godly shoes; a move that neither of my buddies could do with their far less superior shoes. Did I send the route, you ask? No, because I'm not a god damn V9 climber. I'm like a V7 climber. But these shoes make me climb moves on V9's. BOOYAH.

I could rant about these shoes for days. When it comes down to it, each time I put them on I feel like I'm the green lantern who just put on his ring, or spiderman putting on his outfit, or even ash fucking throwing his pokeball and having his charizard come out. I feel like each time I put these on, the chicago bulls theme song should play, confetti should burst from the sky, and a giant list of all the countless things I've sent in these should be etched in granite in a giant statue.

Yes, they're pricy. Yes, they're better than any shoe. Want more proof? Send me a message, I'll send you a video of me nearly onsighting a V6 outside in them, or making it to finals at a collegiate level climbing comp (several times) and straight up owning. Did I do this BEFORE I had these shoes? Maybe a little bit, but definitely not to this degree. Sell one of your kids and dump the cash on these shoes and a plane ticket to your climbing paradise. Do it now.

One of the best shoes out there. A little aggressive for Trad, but still satisfactory. One thing that needs improvement would be the first Velcro strap. Other than that it is an awesome shoe!

Best shoes ever! Perfect for small edges, really precise, they give you an excellent support under your feet. Really good also for bouldering, good heel, maybe the straps can give some problems with toe hooks. It's also comfortable for people that have a medium-large footplant.

These shoes are the best i've owned to date. They have superior edging and friction, comfortable, and are even pretty warm in the winter. I received these as a christmas gift but i would say they are worth every bit of $140. These shoes could be the difference between sending your next project and delaying it again.

Perfect shoes for mid-high and high level climbers from bouldering to sport climbing but also perfect in multi-pitch climbing. I use in big walls in High-Tatras, this shoes is very good on smearing, edges, pockets and overhangs. On the other hand Miura VS is perfect on sport routes. This is the most comfortable shoes I eves used. The rubber is sticky but not so durable(Vibram XS). The new Vibram XS Edge formula is better the "old" Vibram XS. I've got one big problem with this shoes, the Velcro straps aren't durable, very thin but hold strong my feet. The black lining is perfect and comfortable, the tongue is ventillated, soft and the most comfortable in the Universe. The P3 system works well, it keeps the original shape of the shoe. In overall this is the best shoe for me, for my climbing level, I improved my footwork with Miura VS.

Only those straps...I think The LaSportiva Company have to change this straps to stronger one!

Good Climbing Fellas !!!

The Miura VS is my send shoe. I never thought a shoe could improve my climbing....this slipper makes me feel like a super hero climber. When I first put them on out of the box, I thought they were too small. After a few days of use the stretched out nicely to be a comfortable performance sport climbing shoe.

Edges are good, toe is amazing and the best heel out of any other shoe. After you've wore the shoes in the rubber feels soft and sticky which for a while is awesome, however because the rubber is so soft i went through the toe pretty quickly. Overall this is a really good shoe to be brought out for the redpoint attempt and not to waste down the wall. go down a couple of sizes on your normal shoe size.

La sportiva has made an incredible velcro shoe. comfortable and reliable. have climbed long sport routes to tenuous trad routes and Eldo and they always impress me. they edge well with the shoe have the p-3 technology in them. good for thin cracks but not much more. held up to two seasons of abuse and finally the front velcro buckle ripped out. will replace with another pair of the same. held up to 3 resoles and climbed like they were brand new every time. these shoes don't stretch much. try them on before you buy. I'm usually a 43 in my mountain boots and went to a 42 in my miura's.

Like the other reviews I also had to go a size smaller than the lace up version. I would say that the lace up is a better shoe all together. I personally like velcro better than laces. The differences between the two in my opinion are very small. Great shoe if your are climbing technical sport or bouldering.

I own this and the lace up miura. The two shoes are very much so a different shoe. Both great at what they do though. The vs is a kicker cave climbing/boulding shoe. While the lace up is one of the best all around shoes I've used.
The miura vs is usable when it comes to edging but I wouldn't recommand it if that's mainly all you do.

I sized this shoe smaller than man miuras by 2 sizes euro. I have miuras in a size 43.5 and these in 41.5. But I must say I wish I got the miura vs in a 42 because they didn't stretch as much as the lace ups. To add to that I wish I got the lace ups in a 43 because they stretched more than I thought.

So I guess it's safe to say go one size down from your miuras if they are fitting well.

Also I wear a 10.5 to 11 street sheo if that is helpful.

I purchased these shoes a half size smaller than my Miura's, and it took a much longer and painful break in period. Next time I might go with the same size as my Miuras and see how that works. They are now broken in nicely and the performance is amazing. I mostly use these on technical granite trad routes and could not be happier. They edge and smear well and climb cracks good although they are a bit tight for a lot of crack climbing. If they were sized up they would be better for this as well. I've always loved the Sportiva/leather fit and this is easily the best shoe I've used from them. Not much else to say really...they just rule at most types of hard climbing.

Excellent performance for vertical to overhanging climbs, pockets, and small edges. Break-in period felt really short, I found them reasonably comfortable after about two days of use. The velcro straps have worn out very quickly; I've had them for about three months and one of the straps is almost completely worn through.
