Mad Rock's ConFlict is their newest flagship. Simply the best and most technologically advanced rock shoe on the market, and a culmination of Mad Rocks patents, innovations and twisted science. To call this merely a "general purpose" shoe would be grossly misleadinng, the Conflict excels on all terrains, in any condition, and makes climbers of all skill levels better at what they do. A paragon of superior materials, design, and workmanship, everyone should resolve to have the Conflict in their collection.

I rated this shoe High but I have a pair and don't really like them that much.
If you're new to climbing these would be great for you.
The thing they are really lacking in is there heal hooks the shoe comes off about 75% of the time you try to move off on a heal hook.
They have great toe hooks though, so if you use these and you’re used to a pair of shoes that have heal hooks you’re going to be a little lost.
Otherwise they are good shoes just don't get them for rope climbing they are meant for bouldering.

By far my favorite shoe in the Mad Rock line. I have a wide foot and it's hard for me to find a high performance shoe, let alone a downturned rock shoe, that fits me right. With my La Sportiva's or other brands high performance shoes, I have a painful break in period as I have to stretch them out for it to be comfortable enough for me to wear. Not with these bad boyz though. They fit tight and snug right out of the box and get even more comfortable as you wear it in as the upper is constructed of leather. Don't worry about it stretching out too much though, because the rubber toe upper and the lining in the toe box will help to keep that performance fit throughout the life of the shoe.

The design of the shoe is something that I have not encountered before and it took me a while to get used to. The shoe curved inward toward the big toe guiding your foot into a hook position which was awkward at first but later on I found to be most helpful in grabbing and pulling on foot holds (even on vertical to slightly overhanging climbs). But these shoes shined in overhanging sport and boulder problems. There is just so much sticky rubber everywhere and I am able to use these shoes in every way imaginable with extreme confidence. The concave sole increased my pulling power and gave me that secure "cupped" feeling on my foot. The rubber is extremely sticky and I wear these as my "sending" shoes currently.

I've had these for a few months now and durability does not seem like an issue. I think Mad Rock hit it out of the ball park with this one.
